Update From Wake Forest, NC

Hey everyone, just thought I would update you on how things are going. As you know, my wife and I have recently moved to Wake Forest, NC and I will begin Master’s work here in a couple weeks. Kati found a job as a waitress. The job market here is particularly difficult because the population outgrew business and business is trying to catch up. Nonetheless, I am still searching for work. When we got here I started researching Wake Forest and talking with some friends that we have here. Most churches in the area that are growing are growing because members move from other churches. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, only about 3,500 out of the 30,000 people here are churchgoers. Only 43% of the entire population claims to be religious. 7% of that 43% are practicing catholics and the rest are protestant. 27% of that 43% are practicing Baptists. There are 25,000 people just in Wake Forest who need to be reached with and impacted by our Lord’s gospel. I would greatly appreciate all of your prayer as Kati and I continue our transition and I we look for a place to serve.
