Introducing The 1 Samuel Expository Commentary From CM

The work we do is for the church. We spent two years working on our first expository commentary–the expository commentary on 1 Samuel. We spend much time and money resourcing the church through the blog at Christoa.com, and this is our first major print endeavor. We hope to provide commentaries to pastors around the world who cannot afford resources for their own bookshelves. This commentary is not an academic or devotional commentary. Expository commentaries are designed with preaching lectio continua in mind. This commentary is for pastors, preachers, Bible study leaders, and anyone else who desires to deepen his or her understanding of the biblical narrative. AP Cannon utilized academic commentaries and other resources in the development of a sermonesque teaching of the 1 Samuel narrative. This 700 page commentary is rich with doctrinal and practical teaching, explaining and showing a proper application of the text.

The release is to be decided.

A special thanks to The Church at Sunsites, the church at which this commentary was developed through the lectio continua, expository preaching of 1 Samuel. We do desire to expand our commentary selection. While we are working on a few more, Matthew and Revelation included, we recognize the immensity of the task. If you desire to produce an expository commentary (not academic or devotional at this point), please contact us. We would love to have our pastors around the world represented in the literature we are producing and earning the donations they receive.
