Roots
One of our greatest needs as a church is to get back to God’s original purpose for the church gathering. We can worship God anywhere. We can listen to great music anywhere. We can observe communion anywhere. We can listen to the greatest sermons online while sitting in the privacy of our own homes. Being the church must be more basic than doing those things. There is one thing we can’t do without the gathering—edify one another.
Based on the concept of my latest book, I would love the opportunity to speak to your congregation or group about the most basic definition of church.

Cost
I don’t charge anything as a base cost up front. I trust in groups to provide a love offering at the time of the event and/or an honorarium. If providing only an honorarium, the amount should be stated up front so we can plan well for travel, meals, and other accommodations that may be needed.
I also ask that you allow us to set up a merch table, where I will sell books and other items that help sustain this ministry.
If we are traveling beyond our local area, we may discuss an up front travel fee or costs for housing accommodations if not offered.
Availability
I am available on a limited basis because I pastor my own church. I am not typically available for Sunday mornings, but every other time is negotiable. I am accepting only limited engagements for 2027 so that I don’t misplace my priorities as a pastor.

Content
I am available to lead music, preach, or both. If I am leading music or preaching, I am also available to host conversations, participate in panel discussions, and help with mission work if your group is doing mission work concurrently with the event.
