Tis the Night before Christmas

Tis the night before Christmas, and I think to myself

While Joseph and Mary half settled and well

Looked up to the sky, the Son  soon to be born

This Son the whole Earth one day will adorn

Magi in the East, gazed at the stars

One more night until they would travel afar

Shepherds lay sleeping among their sheep

Little to know, an angel they’d meet

Jesus in womb, moving and kicking

Thinking and stretching and quickily coming

Coming for you and coming for me

To satisfy wrath, to die on a tree

Jesus is Christ and Christ always will be

The reason I look forward to Christmas on Christmas Eve
